Tomatoes can be fed to rabbits but should in limited amounts--no more than 1 tablespoon per 4 pounds of body weight. Do not feed tomato plant leaves as these can be toxic.
A rabbit's diet should be mainly composed of timothy hay fed available at all times. A high quality pelleted rabbit diet should be fed. Vegetables and treats should be fed sparingly comprising no more than 10% of the diet. Water should be available at all times.
