Dogs are essentially domesticated wolves. That means that exercise is the dog's equivalent of going hunting. Obviously a wolf does not eat until after the hunt, therefore feed your dog after the walk, not before. I would advise that you prepare the meal, adding water or gravy, or whatever you give, before the walk so that when you get back it will have absorbed the moisture and be easier to digest. Exercise too soon after eating can cause a dangerous condition called bloat in susceptible dogs.
Typically, an animal wants to eat before going to work, just like you. And then after activity, you become thirsty.
So you eat, workout, and drink in that order. Hope this helps.

Definitely before the walk, so your dog can also take care of business! Shortly after you feed him/her you will need to take the puppy for another walk. Save yourself some time.

It is nest to give a dog their food after their walk
Feed your pooch after it's walk. Dogs digest like humans do. If we eat and then go exercise straightaway we get stitches (cramps in our sides). If you want to feed your dog before, wait half an hour or so before you talk it for a walk.
See I think that you should do it before, so the dog has something in his belly. Cause he could throw up, So I say feed him/her before the jog, because it is not good to have an empty belly. Dogs are just like us, you know what I mean like if we have empty bellies and then jog were going to wind up throwing up...I think if you do it the other way the dog will spend his walk looking for food, which dogs already do but they do it less when they have already been fed and they usually proudly strut around looking for the place where they want to go poopy.
I give my 2 border collies there food before the walk because I don't like exercise if I have not had any breakfast and I don't think they would.. It does not seem to bother them when they have it before.
When they have eaten there brekfast I wait half an hour then I take them for there morning walk.

Before so your dog can get the energy he/she will need to walk in the morning.
I like harka's answer because it is a comparison to nature.
Unfortunately I disagree due to experience.
If you feed the dog after the walk they will have to go again and may go in the house if you don't realize this or is just "potty" training.
Usually mamals and even fish move their bowels after eating.
If the wolf did not have to hunt for food first because they are in the wild and we don't come to feed them in the morning they have no choice but to hunt first because that is instinct. But our loved domesticated pets today should not have to face that problem(though some do). SO I WOULD SAY FEED(which gives them energy and helps them go right away)FIRST AND THEN WALK(which lets them burn their energy and go pooppy faster. I think if you do it the other way the dog will spend his walk looking for food, which dogs already do but they do it less when they have already been fed and they usually proudly strut around looking for the place where they want to go poopy.

Before the walk because it gives the dog a chance to kick in its matabilisum
