Dengue mosquitoes normally bite people during day-light hours, unlike other types of mosquitoes that are generally more of a nuisance at night.

Where is the Dengue Mosquito Found

The dengue mosquito is found in northern Queensland, and also in some areas of central and southern Queensland. Although it has been found right across Queensland in the past, and also in parts of the Northern Territory and northern New South Wales. As
there is a chance the dengue mosquito may re-establish in these areas,
people should always remain alert.

Where do Dengue Mosquitoes hide

They tend to hide in dark places inside homes, and also underneath houses and other buildings.
Inside the home, some of the places they hide in include under beds, underneath furniture, behind curtains or anywhere dark really.

To help get rid of dengue mosquitoes around your home it is recommended to use a surface spray. There are also plug-in devices which create a scent that deters mosquitos which you may want to look into.
