Yes you can touch a baby bird it is a lie if you touch a baby bird the  mom will not abandoned them just do not hold them for a long time and if you ever drop a baby bird tell your parents and make them take the baby bird to a humane society or a vet to check it out and see if it is alright....:)

None of that is true , A Few hours ago I noticed a birds nest in a hollow log , an egg seemed to be at the VERY edge of the nest , I picked it up and then CAREFULLY place it back with the other 3 eggs , the mother DID return and still cared for her eggs .I hope this was helpful !<3
God bless

That's a myth. You can touch it, even though it will stress the birds out.

NO!!! NEVER TOUCH THE EGGS!!! If you touch the eggs then the mama bird will either leave the egg, throw it off its nest, or despise it and try to kill it! When you touch the eggs, you leave a human smell on the eggs and then POOF! The mama leaves the egg forever so don't touch them!

No because if you touch the egg the mother will eat the egg because they sent the human smell

I saw 3 brown thrasher eggs and I touch it!( only 1 of the egg)
nothing happened! It has been 3 days and the egg is not dead, thrown away, or the bird didnt take care of it!!
So, I do not think nothing is going to happen!
Also, the bird didnt reject the nest!

No you cannot touch a bird egg because the mom will not take care of it it will push it out of the nest.

I've seen a bird literally throw her eggs out of the nesting box right after my husband touched it (the box) in a effort to fix it so that the eggs wouldn't fall out.  Even the other birds in the cage took part in getting rid of the eggs.  It was heart wrenching to look it.  Birds are so cold!
