Horse hair tassels can be easy to make especially if you have had an opportunity to tie a pony tale. You will need horse hair in three different shades measuring twelve inches in length and together forming half the breadth of your little finger. You can also use similar shades if needed. Let's name our strands as 1, 2 and 3. Twist each of the strands slightly so that they do not mix with each other. Now leaving around an inch and a half free at one end, using a string, tie the three strands together. Start interloping the three strings together by crossing one over two, three between them then two in the middle and then one in the middle etc. Continue this cycle till you have entwined nearly the entire length of the three strands, leaving around an inch and a half of the tassel free string this end together as well. Finally loop the tassel and attach a third string where the loop forms.
