Pheasant farming is seasonal. The hens lay eggs between October and December. The pheasant eggs are collect and kept in the incubator for 26 days. Since the breeding season is so short, it is recommended to collect as many eggs as you can. A hen lays an egg every day. Eggs should be collected every day and set weekly. A pheasant requires around five kilograms of food to lay healthy eggs. The chicks require around six weeks of brooding. The incubator should be turned on a few days in advance before incubating eggs as this will enable you to set the right temperature for the eggs.
