Elephants have live births, they do not lay eggs.

Definitely no! After mating, the bull and cow elephants do not stay together, and the bull elephantwill mate with several different females. The female elephant normally gives birth to a single calf, although, she can have twins. They can give birth every five years, and continue to mate until about the age of fifty!
