Do badgers carry disease?

Here in the UK, they are known to carry Bovine Tuberculosis.

There is a debate about large-scale badger culls.

There is little doubt that TB from badgers infects cattle. The problem is that they were almost certainly infected first by the cattle.

What should we do?

All animals wild or domestic are susceptible to disease. Wild animals are more so though, given the uncontrolled environment they live in.
