Your both close. To my knowledge the largest snake ever recorded was a reticulated python that measured 48ft in length and it lived in a village in india, they fed it 4 dogs a week! Crazy right!? However since we are talking about still living here the largest to my knowledge is another reticulated python that lives in central america and it measures 37ft in length or so, it's monstrouse, the reticulated python is the the largest species of python and the second largest species of snake in the world. Hope it helps rate my answer please. :)

All of the info information above is rediculously wrong. First of all, the longest snake ever recorded was just below 30 ft., which was a Reticulated python. The Reticulated python is the longest in the world but not the largest as far as girth. Secondly, when you say you heard of a snake being fed 4 dogs a week, that is just plain dumb. Reptiles and amphibians have a very slow metabolism. As snake reaching about 20 ft. Or more wouldn't need to be fed more than once or twice a month.
