Hotdogs are made with beef quite frequently, but there are still brands that use pork.  The parts that are used are those that aren't good enough to be edible for pork chops, bacon, etc.  Think of it as the leftovers from slaughtering and butchering the pig.  Yummy, huh?  I still like hotdogs, even though the make up is disgusting.

Beef franks, on the other hand, are really just tube-shaped bologna.  And we allo know that bologna is just as interesting...mmm.
