Well I have seen the hamsters for as cheap as $5.00 some places. Most cages new are kinda pricey depending on your taste so around $20-30 for a basic cage. Food is like under $5.00 at some places, but they also need something to chew on and the chew sticks can range from $2-$6 depending on where you get them. My hamster liked salt and mineral blocks to lick on and they are under $10 most places. Then you need toys like a wheel which can be anywhere from $5-$15 and a a place for them to hide which can be $5-$10. I usually used pine bedding or shredded newspaper which the pine bedding can be cheap if you buy it in bulk at a farm supply store. I liked having a ball for the hamster to run around the house I think mine was $10. Once you have the basics the upkeep is fairly cheap. Sometimes you can find nice used cages and toys but be sure to disinfect them properly before using them.
They o not cost 99 dollars mine cost 5 dollars I promise!
I bought a teddy bear hamster from petsmart a little over a month ago. He was ni.n,e.tee.n doll..ars. Grand total including him, a cage, bedding, food, a little house, and an exercise ball was about 8O. He still has over half his bedding and food left. Good luck with your hamster!
They are 15 dollars a pet smart!
It all depends on where you get it and how many accessories that you buy. The hamster could range in price from 10-20 dollars. The cage could range in price from 7-30 dollars or more. The food usually costs about 7 dollars. The bedding probably costs about 10 dollars for a bag.
I have a girl teddy bear hamster and she is the sweetest thing. She cost may be 9, 10 or 11 $
and her stuff, no idea. :)
