Cocker Spaniels are notorious for having problems with their skin.  Some are primary problems with the skin like allergies or seborrhea.  Others are secondary to thyroid problems or Cushing's disease.  Any new bumps/lumps need to be examined by a veterinarian to determine the primary cause and treat secondary infections (bacterial or yeast).

Thank you for your fast response. I will make an appt. For the vet tomorrow and have her checked. The groomer mentioned thyroid problem because she had some blackened dry skin and because of the odor.
