How Can I Get Rid Of My Phobia Of Slugs?

Slugs aren't insects. They're gastropods, a subgroup of molluscs.

Yes, I'm really scared of them too. Once, I was up to my arms in science, history and English coursework and walking along to the Physics dept. At my school to hand some of it in, and there was one on the path. I admit I let out a little squeal when I saw it and stopped dead. Then I just held my breath and stepped around it. As I write this, I'm shivering. I just hate how slimy they are and how they look.

Now, I'm not unreasonable. Just because I dislike slugs doesn't mean I should kill it, so I don't. But their nerves aren't complex enough to feel pain, so if I ever live in an insecure home I won't need to consult my ethical conscience before putting a ring of salt around my bed. Genocide? Nah, I bet there's as much slugs as there are people, at least. And there needs to be less people.

Well most of us are afraid of one thing or the other. I myself am sick of lizards. I can't stand one in the house and get chills all over. Nothing can overcome it, unless and until you  try to overcome it yourself. When you see a slug keep reminding yourself that it is just an insect and means nothing. Try to get near them, this would lessen your phobia. Trust me, I am working on mine like this.
