Dogs are fine around pregnant women. The only thing you really have to worry about is the dog jumping on your stomach. Then when the baby comes just make sure they will get along. Before the baby comes I would try to get your dog used to it by pulling on him a little bit and just make sure your dogs will put up with a baby. But there is nothing unhealthy about having a dog when your pregnant as long as they don't jump on you.
If its a girl doggy than it would be good to be around a pregnant woman because a female dog would be protective of the woman. Usually girl dogs and human girls bond, I am that way with my dog. Shes my best friend. Like boys are with boy dogs. Boy dogs are also good to be around the woman, they'll protect her in danger same as the girl dog, since she wont be able to fend for herself very well.
My sisters dog dixie was like that when she was pregnant with her youngest child, dixie is very protective of her owners and doesnt let any stranger go near the newborns. Well when they were newborns. Now they're all grown up enough...
Oh and congratulations to who ever is expecting. ^^

I agree with both answers but a dog should not be allowed in the bed because once that happens and the baby comes you will obviously start paying more attention to the baby dogs are just like humans when it comes to jealousy they don't like other things taking their place so try to establish a foundation between your child and dog
I agree its fine to have dogs if your pregnant. They will keep you company. But just be careful not to play around with them to much. I am 4 months pregnant and I always make sure they don't jump on me.
It is not safe that pregnant women sleep with dog because when woman got pregnant she is very delicate.
Is it ok for me to still walk my dog while I'm pregnant or is it to much strain when she pulls?
Haha I think you need to be put in a cage after that last comment.
I have a related problem. My dog has never bit someone until my pregnant sister-in-law came into the house. He's now done it twice, as soon as she walks through the door. Could this be related to her pregnancy? He's met her before she was pregnant and didn't bite or even bark.
I walk my dog everyday and I'm 17 weeks pregnant so I don't see the problem my dog is 120 lbs!
Yes and a no, if your dog has sharp nails it came scratch up you stomach. And if your dog is jumping on you a lot better hope you don't fall!!!! I would cage em up or something so nothing serious happens
