At What Age Should You Stop Breeding Your Female?

IT is best to only breed every other year if you have done this and given her a break in between 6 years is generally okay if you have not given her a break it is best to stop at 5 years  don't forget that 5 years of age is like 35 years in people years you can physically breed longer however you risk complications to mom and pups the longer you breed.  If you do choose to continue breeding after that age it is best to have anual exams done on your baby girl at least twice a year and have anual bloodwork done to ensure the health of your mom and pups.  Good luck

It depends somewhat on the breed, but generally 6 or 7 is the responsible cut off point.

I stopped breeding my two dogs at the age of 7 or 8 because they're getting old and I don't want the puppies to get any sickness or problems if the mother has problems.

I got a cocker spaniel from the rescue and she is 9. What age do the stop going in 2 season or do they go through their life's having seasons?
