Don't waste anytime and take her to the vet NOW!! Trembling is a sign of pain (unless you live in a fridge). Don't take any chances, crate training and steroids will do its thing before it gets worse..... I have three, one with back injury, and I really regret no one gave me this advice before.
My 7 year old dachshund is "down" right now, he is on crate rest, steroids, muscle relaxers, and receives chiropractics, we could not afford the surgery which needs to be done within 3 days for best results. A vet tech , thru the kindness of her heart comes over to express his bladder 2x a day, it has been 3 weeks, he is getting bladder control, the chiropractor said the swelling has gone down along his spine, but there are still areas of tight muscles. Our dog did this last year and was up and around in 2 months. This time seems more severe but we remain hopeful. I highly recommend our chiropractor Gary Wong in Fremont. My prayers are with you.
He has spinal injury that has made him lazy and sad so you should get her paws and legs x-ray so that you can know what is problem with him and you can get bring him to normal.
Doxies are prone to back problems; sometimes caused by obesity. The only one who can properly diagnois the problem is her Vet. If you are having problems getting her to the Vet, don't allow any jumping up/down on furniture or stairs until you know what's wrong.
