Have you tried a moist hide... Your guys like moisture, but I get what you mean about being in there to often. Plus the water has to be changed more often when they do that... Thinking... Are they constipated they could be trying to stimulate bowel movement... You got me puzzled.

Snakes soak to soften their skin so shedding is easier for them, it keeps them from having a partial shed witch can hurt them

Hi,

I have kept corn snakes for a number of years now. Jeffrey is now approaching six foot and thought he looked really cute when having a bath! However, the reason for this is bad tank husbandry. A wild snake would never spend hours on end having a bath. He usually does this when he hasn`t been handled as much as usual.

Snakes are also quite intelligent. You`ll probably notice that if your corn snake has a habit of pooing in his water dish, you`ll change it immediately, whereas soiling of the tank can go unnoticed.

It stinks to high heaven!

Hope this helps.

I just keep thinking that it might have to do with molting. It is August and the weather has been strange and may have confused the Dog Days for them?? I'm not a snake person; just a thought??
