Don't put fresh water on a saltwater jellyfish sting. If you're still nearby the sea, rinse with salt water. I have heard vinegar works to relieve stings if it isn't a man-o-war jellyfish sting, but it would be wise to see a doc promptly . ..Some jellyfish are very venomous and their stings can be fatal - so don't put it off!
