You have to wait until they are old enough 2 run around the cage by themselves and the babies need to have there eyes open then you are free 2 play with them

No! If you want your hamsters to live then please don't touch them. They will get the human scent in their body and the mother or father hamster will eat them. Do Not touch your hamsters till they are three to four weeks old. I know it would be a little difficult for you but if you want them you have to help it. I would like you to go through the following link , it will help you to take care of them properly. BEST OF LUCK!

Hey my hamster had babies and i did research on the computer and it said not to hold them for at least 2-3 weeks, and don't give them away until 5 weeks has past from birth. I know it is scary when you get home and little naked things are in your hamsters cage but they will have lots of hair in just two weeks so dont panic(like what i did)!!!

After the birth of baby hamsters, they should not be disturbed for 2 weeks, otherwise, mother can kill them. You can handle and separate them from the mothers 3 weeks after the birth. At the time of birth, baby hamsters are hairless and weigh 2 ounces. Average litter size in hamsters can be of 7 babies.

Don't WAIT!!!!  Play with your new baby daily!!!  If you do not it will not get to know you and will become skiddish and possibly mean.  I breed rats and they are very much the same as hampsters being they are rodents.  I handle the babies from the day they are born until they go to their new homes.

I have found over the years, even when my dad was rainsing rabbits, if you put baby powder on your hands and then rub the mothers nose then you can handle the babies. All they smell is the baby powder. Haven't lost a baby one.

You can handle your babies. Just put baby powder on your hands and then rub the mothers nose. All she smells is the baby powder. It even works with rabbits. Never lost a baby.
