I guess they would live to be about 2-3 years. My robo hamster died about 2 days ago but I don't think she was getting old because I got her last year around this time in july. She could have lived longer.

Approximately.... 2-3 years. That is the average. But they could live up to like 5 years or so. I am assuming so. I got my very own one today!!! She is white and named Delilah. But anyway, I hope it lives for a while!!!!!

Dwarf Hamsters generally live for two to three years. They are a small group of hamsters in the genus phodopus, though they are not from this species. The Chinese hamster is said to be dwarf hamster.

The Chinese Hamster is a particular species of a hamster, it is called Cricetulus griseus. These hamsters usually come form the deserts of northern China and Mongolia.

The average height of a hamster as an adult is around 7.5 to 9 cm and they normally weight anything between 50-75 grams. Chinese hamsters are mostly kept in Laboratories. They have a quiet nature and can be easily handled.

In some states of US like California Chinese hamsters are regarded as pests and you need a special permit keep them as pets. In New Jersey they thought off as Toxic animals and also require a permit like California.
