This cat needs to be examined by a veterinarian. The respiratory signs may be due to pneumonia, severe asthma, heart disease, primary lung tumors, or mediastinal masses. It is very concerning that your cat has lost weight. Your veterinarian will start appropriate treatment--this will not resolve spontaneously.
