Why of course, a Basset Hound ! They're protective , energetic , can be trained pretty good , and you'll have to work on the obedient part. They like to bark too! Good dogs overall ! I love mine !
Thinking about getting a puppy. Would like one that is protective, obedient, energetic and not to difficult to train.... Any suggestions?
Get a labrador or a golden retriver. You're surely be satisfied.
And if you're an extremist then you can order a Japanese dog named Akita
I have a Black Cocker-spaniel, female is age 13, not a problem with her health she's good nature dog, she is considered medium size dog, she has good behavior ..I got her from Frostburg Maryland
Labs or German shepherds they are very smart and very quick learners, and they are protective (I've had both)
I heard that a chow chow is a very loyal to ONE master only. I mean the type of dog that would be nice to everyone he knew but loyal to only one person. He will attack anyone who he/she thinks hurting his chosen master even though he knew that person who he thinks might hurt his master.
It doesn't matter what breed you get. Just don't go to the pet store. Always go to pet shelter or dog pound. According to the dog whisperer laid back ones are best, and they are easier to train.
How about a good old Golden Retriever. That would be my dog. Or maybe a Golden Doodle, though they require al lot of grooming. Maybe a German Shephard?
My personal favorite is the English Cocker Spaniel. So pretty and intelligent.
Hope this helps! Good luck ;)
Any mid to large dog will be protective. I would get a mix at your nearby shelter. Mix breeds are easier to train, than a purebred.
