Lions have long sharp retractable claws for dragging down prey, they have long canine teeth for ripping meat off of the dead animal, and the pre-molars and molars at the back of the mouth act like razors and cut the food into smaller chunks. They live in prides, for protection from other prides and other preditors such as the hyena. Their coat colour is tawny brown so that they can be almost invisible in the tall grass when hunting. The males have a large thick mane to make them look bigger and more dominant when fighting other male for mates and terrtories. Lions have stretchy skin around thier belly, this isn't because they are out of shape, it is so if they are kicked by a prey animal when hunting there is minimal injury.

It would have to live on different animals like birds to survive the environment changes and it might eat humans to survive!
