How Are The Penguins In Danger?

Penguins are in danger due to a number of reasons. They have been hunted over the years. Their habitats are chronically affected by oil spills. These oil spills affect their feathers and they have difficulty in diving. Their food sources also get affected and they find it hard to search for prey. When fishing fleets operating in areas where penguins live they over exhaust the supply of fish in these areas. They sometimes trap and kill penguins in their nets. The habitats of penguins are also being wiped out due to global warming and the melting of the ice caps. Penguins are flightless birds and it is yet unclear whether bird flu is a serious threat to them or not.

Penguin sanctuaries are increasingly being formed to protect populations of penguins from being completely wiped out.

Penguins are endangered by Global Warming, the warmth from the sun due to CO2 is causing it to be hot. The polar ice caps are melting, therefore the land for the penguins is becoming smaller and smaller each day. Penguins will be extinct before long due to our fault.

Global warming is what making life difficult for Penguins. We all know that Penguins live in Antarctica and the places where snow is in aplenty. But owing to the warming in the atmosphere the there has been depletion in the layer of snow, affecting the habitat of the penguins. If snow is not there how can we imagine a life for this beautiful species?

In recent decade there has been a vast increase in the average temperature of the earth. And the cause of all this warming should be attributed to us humans. We use several equipments that release gases which is depleting the ozone layer, a gaseous layer that protects the earth from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun and leading to the warming of the earth. Though recently there has been some awareness about the condition of our environment, still a lot to be done.

Yes they are ,,,, there is a lot of CO2 emission due to human activities thats hampering them and also the lost of habitat in Arctic and Antarctic regions is a threat to them. So they are endangered toward facing extinction!

Because there polar ice caps are melting and there home is melting this is because of global warming

By polution and bird flu.

We are taking away fish.and ice is melteing it is not good

Penguins are in danger because people are hunting them and because they are losing their fethers and there ice is melting.

They should not be hunted and should be loved by all!!! GO PENGUINS!!!

Yes, I do like penguins, because they don't  do anything wrong to our world or try ruining it. The question that you should be asking people is: Why don't you like penguins? What do they do wrong?

There are also indirect ways in which penguins can be affected by global warming. One example, in Victoria Australia, is a proposal to build a coastal seawater desalination plant, due to the fact that global warming has caused a dramatic drop in rainfall over the last decade, and water supplies are becoming increasingly restricted.

However, desalination plants pump concentrated brine out into the ocean. At the proposed location, there is a nearby penguin colony. The briny discharge will destroy one of the penguin's food sources. The penguin colony is likely to either die out or move out, if it can.
