The Black Widow Spider can be found in most of the warmer regions of the world where the tempreature is warm and the air damp. The female Black Widow is usually a shiny black colour and witha body about 0.5 inches in length.
The Black Widow is very venomus and injects a posion similar to that of a rattlesnake. Only the female variety of the Black Widow is dangerous to humans. The males and babies are not.
The Black Widow is so called because, not always, but sometimes the female will kill her mater after mating with him. To a human her bite is not initially painful, however, the posion she injects can be very harmful. It cna cause abdominal pains, as well as pains to the muscles and the feet. People with heart conditions should immediatly seek medical help as the posion can attack the heart and lungs and remain inthe blood.
Thankfully we don't get Black Widows in the UK, but if you are going on holiday to warmer climes, then make sure that you read up on dangerous spiders!

It is so called a BLACK WIDOW because it sometimes eats its mater. It injects poison into its mate.To a human the bite with poison in it wont usually hurt.If you are bitten by one, just to be safe, rush to the hospital. The poison will spread through your body and can cause muscle pain and abdominal pains. The creature likes to live warmer and damper places on the earth. It normally is a glossy black color. The males and babies are not poisoners.

It is called so, as the female counterparts, after mating with the male ones, would kill them instantly.
