If there are standing bodies of water nearby they need to be drained. If someone has moved away and there is a pool it needs to be drained so contact the real estate agent

All the above. I live in Texas and we have our share of mosquitos. A funny but different thing we use here is to take baggies and fill them full of water and tie them around where you have a lot of mosquitos. It works! A lot of restaurants with patio dinning use these. I don't know why this works I just know that it really does.
