My Chickens Are Losing Tail Feathers Is This Normal?
If its the feathers right in front of the tail, then more than likely your rooster is a little aggressive with his girls and is pulling the feathers out when he mates with them. Mine are the same way. If you have a rooster then you can tell which ones are his favorites.
Do you have any cats/foxes/weasels/dogs around? If so, they might like feathers, or chickens but are just not quick enough
