Cataracts can cause a white color change to the eye and as they progress dogs become non-visual.  Nuclear sclerosis is an aging change of the lens--the difference is dogs are still visual.  A lens luxation is another possibility.  Your dog needs to be examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Your dog has cataracts. Basically he is going blind. Talk to a doctor!
