It is ok to give apples and carrots.  Do not feed the seeds from the apples--they contain cyanide like chemicals and can cause toxicity in dogs.  The meat of the apple is fine.  Do not give moldy fruits or vegetables to dogs--these can contain fungi that can cause toxicity in dogs.  Also do not feed grapes, raisins, onions, or garlic to dogs.
Many dogs enjoy green beans as well.

When I buy my dog food it actually has pieces of dehydrated banana and other fruits and vegetables, unfortunately my dog is a piciky eater he doesn't want it in his dried dog food.  Quite often I give it to him fresh and it hasn't hurt him so far. However, as Ryanna said, You want to start anything new out slowly.

They should be fine if you can get her to chew on them, but keep in mind that when you change a dogs food to rapidly it can give her the runs... So introduce it to her slowly. My dog likes a good old fashioned stick.

NO bones!!!! Although it's typical to see a dog and bone, it is not safe. Dogs are omnivores and naturally do not digest bones well. The bones can splinter and puncture the intestines and possibly lead to death. My sisters dog had this happen with a turkey bone. The best is raw carrots or a sort of flavored chew toy. Always ask your local Vet.

Yes, apples and carrots are both okay for dogs to eat. You do, though, want to moderate the quantity of apples and carrots your dog eats as too much could give your dog the runs.

Our beagle's favorite food was apples and she got plenty of them will no bad effects.  We later learned that beagles are used by the FDA or Agriculture Dept. To sniff out smuggled fruit at airports.

Don't force your dog to eat fruits and vegis to keep entertained. Give it toys, and dog treats. Also make sure it's getting its protein from his food. Glad to help

I've been told to stick to dog food and snacks. Animals do not have the same digestive systems we do and human food usually is bad for them. I know you are thinking fruit is healthy, but it is healthy for humans! Dogs have their own way and that's why I never feed my animals human food. It probably won't kill a animal to give them human food, but it won't benefit them either.

What do you suppose dogs ate way back in the early days of man, when there was no dog food? Probably all the foods we eat, such as apples, bananas etc...with of course exception to the toxic ones that I'm sure people figured out the hard way, sadly :(
