Well some people say that the male is larger by a little. But I have seen a female and male barn owl and the female is bigger. Also the female is darker in color all around not just on the breast and the male has paler feet. Also the females beak is two mm shorter, funny eh? Anyway thats the just of it, but also the male has longer wings, by 5 cm, and the wings are an almost yellow tinge and have very pale grey patches (not spots) and the female has distinct dark spots! Thnx for reading! Catch my friend at allknowtweet.com/twitter and maybe ill be there 2 to help with your next big assignment!

Both male and female barn owls have a speckled, reddish-brown body and a white, heart-shaped face. While the male’s chest is predominantly white, the female’s chest is darker and heavily spotted. The species can approach 18 inches in height, with females being slightly larger than males.
