Beer traps, Grab a container you don't really care about (old bowl, Cool Whip, etc.). Dig a hole just large enough so that the lip of the container ends up at ground level. Pour some beer in it, wait until morning, and examine your catch.

There are a number of products available in home improvement stores to kill white grubs. However, you should be careful while selecting a particular grub killer as there could be those containing bifenthrin, deltamethrin, lambda-cyhalothrin and permethrin, which could cause severe damage to your soil and not even move down to where the grubs are as they bind with the organic material in the soil.

You should use products containing halfenozide or imidacloprid; however, these will not be good for spring time as they are just preventive killers and do not work for large grubs. Other products consisting of trichlorfon or carbaryl are good for any season including spring and fall.
