I don't see how an opposable thumb would help. Zoe has trained me to do everything she wants: I can't see her giving that up just because she has additional dexterity. Of course, I can see her using it to signal me where and when things need to be done for her.
Since I have 8 dogs... The dog run would be CLEANED spotless, their dishes would be washed by them, they could rub my feet instead of licking them, the dog food cans with pop tops would be empty all the time, my fridge would be raided nightly, they could brush my hair and they could brush their own teeth.
It would be crazy! They would be into everything.
