How Many Acres Do You Need To Keep A Horse? In Other Terms, How Many Acres Does A Horse Need To Be Comfortable?

2-4 acres. The rule is 2 acres per horse. But I think that for a horse to be comfortable and able to gallop around then probably a bit more.

Well if you're referring to one single horse, I would say if you want to give them room to have to run and frolic and whatnot, I would suggest five. That's the general expectation. I double checked with my mom who is like an expert on horses and has been around them almost all of their life and she agrees.

The basic rule is 'Two acres for one horse, and one acre per horse after that'.
My horse is on 2 acres and is very happy and healthy.

I think for a horse its an acre and up. But 2 acres is much better. For a pony it's a different mater. At least 1/3 os an acre

I would say 4-6 acres for a single horse, as long as it has enough grass as one horse eats as much as 4cows per night
