The best riding horse for me, a person with severe vertigo, is the Peruvian Paso.  They are a great little breed that is born with the smoothest gait you could ever imagine.  Their gait is a swaying side to side motion with multiple speeds.  Their lope is also smooth but it's their gait that's simply amazing!  Oh, and don't confuse the Peruvian Paso with the Paso Fino.  These are two very different breeds.

It depends on what kind of riding you are going to do. If English riding then a Tennesee Walker is what you want. However the best ride I ever experienced is from a Clydesdale. If you are going to be riding western you will need a regular Quarter horse. Appaloosas are a nice ride too. Mostly you want something thats not going to throw you off.

I think the best riding horse is a Quarter Horse.  They are strong and flexible.  This horse has a very laid back attitude most of the time.

You will see a lot of quarter horse, they are go to jump, endurance, competitive trail (my favorite)
cross country, hunter pace, dressage and fox hunting.

I can walk trot of longe line and canter on and personally my favorite horse to ride would be a thoroughbred over the age of 6.I'm saying over 6 because anything under could be very high strung and there racing instincts are still going to be fresh in there minds wich could make them potentially dangerous.

It depends on your level of experience and what you plan to do. If your just using it for trail riding, don't get a pure breed horse or one that shies easily. Probably just a cross bred. Quarter horses are good all rounders though, not good for jumping though.

I like Quarter horses, but for a bad back, I would get a gaited horse, (Tenessee walker, rock mountain saddle horse, etc.) and drafts can be very comfortable!

The best riding horses are quater horses and if you don't want a bucking horse then don't get a horse with peppy in them or not a lot of peppy in them horse them are some bad cats when it comes to bucking I broke my back  on one when I was seven but it wasn't his fault

It depends if you're competeing or pleasure riding. The best Pleasure riding horse is the Foxtrotter and it can compete too! I love them because of their smooth gait.
