Extinction means the ending of a complete species of an organism, that is, the whole race is swept off the face of Earth. Extinction seems like a horrible thing, especially when caused by human activities. Many species have become extinct. Some, out of natural causes, like Dinosaur, while the others, like Dodo Bird, Heath Hens, Tasmanian Tigers etc, because of human activities.

Dodo Bird was once found at the island of Mauritius. It was first discovered by the sailors who landed there. Dodo Birds were short and fluffy, not unavoidably beautiful, and had tiny wings and a huge beak. The Dodo Bird was placed in class 'Ratitae', which means that it could not fly. The huge beak was probably used for defense.

The sailors who landed on the island of Mauritius were starving. They killed a Dodo and tried to eat it, but even in their starving hunger, they could not eat it. Its meat contained too much fat, and was something that could not be eaten without puking. The most likely cause of the extinction of the Dodo Bird is that once a true civilization came into existence, people began hunting the Dodo Bird for no reason. Thus, human activity caused the extinction of a complete specie of birds, that is, the Dodo Bird.
