Yes I feed my hamster food all the time but not to much. I gave mine to much and he got wet tail but he did not die I would give them dried fruit about once or twice a week

OK, well, the first comment about not feeding hamsters any   food is obviously wrong and a load of crap. Hamsters need fresh food (hamster mix from pet store) and fresh water each day. They also benefit from fresh fruits (although not dwarfs as they are prone to diabetes and fruit has a high sugar content) and fresh veggies. As for dried fruit, I am currently looking into that, which is how I stumbled upon this post. I'll let you know if I find anything.

No - dried fruit (like dried apricots etc.) can get stuck in their cheek pouches where it will rot and make them ill.
