How Do You Know If A Toad Is A Boy Or Girl?

A boy toad's ear holes are bigger than the eye, and a girl's ear hole is much smaller than the eye!also girls have boobs and boys don't! And there is a color near their pee area if it is pinkish its a girl if it is brownish its a boy!

Male toads have black throats and squeak. Female toads have throats the color of their bellies and they are bigger. :)

It isn't easy to tell whether or not a toad is a male or female if you are not very familiar the species. In addition, species vary in sexual characteristics. Therefore, there is no set rule that applies to all kinds of toads.  However, there are some general traits to look for. Your toad may have some of the following characteristics, but probably not all of them.

Males may have vocal sacs. The males may also have pads on the outer edge of the thumb. These are roughened areas which help the male to grip during breeding. Males may also have muscled forearms for gripping. As well, males can have a number of glands on the body. Males may also have rougher skin than females. Another male characteristic is a visible spine. As well, in many species male and female toads are different sizes and colours.

It is easiest to distinguish between males and females by looking at an example of both. You could check with your local wildlife organization for more help on identifying the sex of your toad.

My friend and I caught a toad and have realized it's a boy toad. It has a visible spine(a white line down its head and back),a little muscle-bump thing in the middle of the head, and it has claws to grip the female during mating. It has little gland on either side of its neck. Also the area around its pee area is brownish. P.S. We named it Camo 'cause its camouflaged.

Well sometimes you look at the ear holes and on the boys the ear holes are larger than the eye and the girls are the same size or smaller than the eyes.

I look up on the Internet and to tell the difference between a male and female is that the male chirps during mating season which is June and July and males thumbs are bigger

But I found it out side and I had it for a year and I want to know if its a boy or girl so I can
breed it

I found a small toad outside and some of my research tells me its a boy, (because of the visible spine.)
some things tell  me its a girl, (because of all the bumps on its back)

Is a bloat a hump on the bach well I'm trying to just see if it a boy or girl so it can't have eggs.
