My Chihuahua Keeps Throwing Up White Foam? What Is Causing This? Please Help Asap?

You should be very much concerned about your dog's condition consistent foamy vomiting in dogs can leads to life threatening conditions. If your dog is throwing white foam occasionally then no need to worry but on consistent basis, it is harmful. This foamy vomiting can be due to bloat that can very serious complication if not treated. This condition can cause stomach twisting by putting pressure on the GI tract. Symptoms of bloat are

1. Restlessness
2. Pacing
3. White foamy or unproductive vomiting
4. Drooling

You should take your dog to vet for diagnosis and treatment.

Acute vomiting has many causes.  Most cases resolve in 24-48 hours without the underlying cause being determined.  If your dog is otherwise well and not showing any other signs like vomiting you should withhold food for 24 hours.  Allow access to plenty of clean fresh water.  After 24 hours, if all goes well you can feed a low fat easily digestible meal like cooked chicken and rice.  Gradually reintroduce the animal's normal diet over the next 2 days.  If the vomiting persists or your animal begins to show other signs of being unwell you should see a vet. 

My Vet finally came to the conclusion that when my dog coughs and spits up white foam it could be allergies. She does this every couple of months. I give her 1/3 of a Benadryl which seems to work.

Take him/her to the vet,

Let her eat some grass she has an upset stomach

How old is your dog, as well, has it eaten something you don't know about. Best to keep plenty of fresh water, and if this continues, get to vet as soon as possible

Because it has probably eaten grass because it is feeling sick,, they eat grass and spew it makes them feel good,,

Well either soap grass or kitty litter for your cat pan all of those has happened to my dogs and they threw up white foam

My chihuahua was doing this a few years ago and it turned out she had a kidney infection so go take her to the vet if this is so she will need meds

Is he out side alote he may have eaten grass that may have cus that if not I would take him to the vet asap that not a good sin

Mine has thrown up the white foamy stuff! I took him outside and saw him trying to eat some grass, then after we went to bed I woke up and he was acting like he wasn't comfortable , he threw up in his mouth alittle I could look at him and tell something wasn't right! What to do?

Well it can be that your dog has eaten to much or they ate something very bad.

Or he has ate some frogs
