He might be just lacking entertainment. Try getting new toys and spending more time with it or maybe get a new friend for him. If he's been alone with you for quite some time :)
I have a grey cockatiel. Since we got it, it used to be very active and used to sing. I'm guessing it's a male, I'm not sure, but now it just wants to sleep. Why is that? Is the bird sick?
