Whenever we ask strongest animal, there can be certain criteria relating to that. Strongest animal can be evaluated either in terms of how much an animal can lift relative to its own weight or it can also mean How heavy an animal is(How much it weighs) or how much an animal can lift weight irrespective of its weight.

Strongest animal in terms of lifting weight relative to its own size:
A tropical mite, Archegozetes longisetosus, can pull force equal to 1150 times its own weight, five
times more than expected for an organism of its size (1 mm, 100 µg).
To put this strength in human terms, this would be like a 150 lb (68 kg) human lifting an 86 ton tank, or an elephant with a tower of 1150 elephants on its back.

Strongest animal in terms of lifting weight irrespective of its own weight:
The strongest animal on land in terms of absolute strength is likely the African Bush Elephant, whose weight can range up to 13 tons, and whose carrying capacity is at least 5 tons.

Strongest animal in terms of weight:
The strongest animal in general is the Blue Whale, weighing above 209 tons. It can travel up to 50 km/h (30 mph) in short bursts.
