firstly this was exactly me the first time I had my pet rainbow lorikeet , she was very fierce and aggressive at first due to me being a stranger , so I didn't give hand to hand contact just yet , I fed it and didn't disturb it or make big sounds or scare it , so I just looked from afar and watched It eat , soon it will be used to you feeding It , then maybe it won't  always squawk at you or attack you , so let it get used to you and then it will start to let you give it hand to hand contact but don't be rough with it or it would be scared and attack you with its instincts good luck :)

Learn to earn your pet's trust. Never frighten them. They too also have feelings like us human. So if you could tame your love bird first, and earn her trust, you'll have the best bonding ever! So go ahead and tame her first and everything follows smoothly.
