Sorry to disappoint but EVERYONE knows that cats are much smarter than dogs!  I mean, all they do is sleep, get lovin' when they want it and get feed all kinds of good food and treats....Now THAT'S the life for me!!!...Check out the enlarged picture to get a good view!

My mom trained dogs for a long time. We could all be eating food in the floor and we could spill it all over the place and the dogs wouldn't eat the food until we told them they could... We even went a whole day without telling them they could as a test and filmed it and the food was still there the next day. My mom even had a dog that could kinda talk it would go to the door and make a moaning kinda sound... It sounded like the dog always said "I wanna go out" It was our very own talking dog. The dog my mom has now you can't even say or spell ball in the house cuz when you do she will bring you the ball and expect you to play. You can't even say or spell eat around feeding time with that dog without her going to her bowl and giving that oh really food where is it can I have it now look.

My Shih-tzu Shastra is pretty smart. She tells me when she wants to relieve herself by looking at me and then looking at the door. She knows by the sound of our cars when a family member is home. She will play fetch for a long time. Then she will tear up the tiny tennis ball after we have played fetch for awhile. She will stop whatever she is doing on command. She is spoiled too. She sleeps with us and give us a bath by licking our feet and hands and face and ears. She loves a good scrap with us and then on command she will calm down. She loves a bath and the hairdryer. Still isn't very keen on being brushed out but is necessary so she doesn't get mats. We take it a little bit at a time. Playing in between so she doesn't feel like she's being punished. She also knows when she comes in from outside that she gets a treat when we call her in. She loves a good belly rub and kisses. Peace

Dogs are way better than cats and they are much more fun. My dog is smart because she can jump really high. Also she sleeps in a crate(cage)and there is a handle on it to open and close it, when she wants out she sticks her paw out and pull the bar across to open the crate. So now we have to padlock her cage at night or when were out.

One of my little shitz-a-peekapoos knows real words. Which ever door I tell him to go to, he does. If I ask him where his brother is, he starts searching, & barks when he finds him. He does all kinds of neat stuff like that. I think maybe he's one of my ex's, reincarnated.

She acts like a dog too, lays in front of the door, and will pull open the back door to get out, but won't push the door, go figure.

My dog knows his right from his left. He has an indoor bark and an outdoor bark.  He gives big hugs, little hugs, kisses. You can tell him to go into a certain room and he will go to that room. If a dog bites him he will sit on them... Never bites back. He will figure out things. I feel like  I have a child that is trying to get away with something and having to stay one step ahead. For example you tell him to go to his kennel he will low crawl and  be under your feet or even behind you before you know it. If you are crying he will hug you, on his own. ( it's so sweet!) I took him to the vet and the vet came out and said wow! It's like he knew everything i was saying I would tell him
something and he would do it
and the the vet said Ive been in this business for 25 yrs and this is the finest, smartest dog Ive ever encountered.  I could go on and on but i will refrain. He can and does figure out things. I think that is what makes him smart. Not just the things I have taught him.

I love love love love cats !  i love dogs, too but we live in a apartment !! So mostly  i find other people's dogs cool. Anyway, about my cats - they are a mom and her daughter, so when one is "missing" the other gets distressed until we "find" them !! Smart , I say !!

My cat is smart because he knows what time it is without a watch. He tells me when its time to eat sleep and work. You could set a watch by him!

Same with my cat, drives me crazy if I don't want to feed at EXACTLY the time he thinks he needs to be fed.

one time we were out in the woods near where cattle were grazing along with one lone brama bull...our Norman saw him and decided he needed to round him and the other cattle. I thought he would be "dead-meat" but he knew how to stay just far enough away not to get kicked or charged.
