My 8 Month Old Pug Puppy Has Two Red Bumps On The Left Side Of His Upper Lip. They Look Similar To Pimples But Do Not Have Heads. He Will Not Let Me Touch It So They May Be Sore. Does Anyone Have An Idea Of What This Could Be?

Thank you so much for the answers you have provided for me. He does eat out of a plastic bowl and sniffs the concrete when outside. He also does only get them where food can touch so it appears that this may be pretty normal/ common. Do you by any chance have the name of the chapstick/ balm.

This can often be from the type of bowl they are eating out of. Plastic molecules can be harmful to the snout, if it still occurs with a ceramic bowl try a metal. Also, if you notice them sniffing the concrete outside it could conclude to the sores. My 8 month old female pug gets these all the time. We go to a holistic pet store and get a balm in chap stick form for her that works great! Hope this helps!

Pugs often get facial infection due to the wrinkles on their face. They might be sore from pieces of food (small bits that fall out of his mouth and onto his face) being caught and rubbing. This was often a problem with my friend's pug. If the problem doesn't go away in 1- 1 1/2 months, or more appear in areas food can't get in, see your vet. Good luck!
