Butterflies have a long proboscis, basically a very long mouth part. It is a long tube usually coiled up under their heads that they can thrust into a flower to drink the nectar.

Artificial butterfly feeders use sugar water soaked pads to mimic flower nectar.

Like bees, they move pollen from one flower to another, pollinating the flowers.
