Yes, initially they will indeed miss their parents and siblings, as they will be used to warmth of snuggling up to mother and other puppies, and the heartbeat, smell and sounds of the mother. Eventually with a lot of attention, warmth and cuddles from the new owner, the puppy will get used to not being around its mother and brother/sister puppies.
