You should be able to give her a half of one. My dog has skin allergies all the time and my Vet said I could do that. And because the dog can't really lick her ears try putting cortisone cream ( not ointment) on the ears its self not in the ears and rub in good that will help with the itchy feeling and if you can get some with aloe in it that makes it work even better. Also if the dog has scabby areas on the back then shampoo it once a week with medicated shampoo a kind that wont strip it of the natural oils but help produce more. Hope that helps. Good luck
