If the children's protective services finds that the house is not fit for a child to live they wil take the kids. They will give you a time period to get the house clean and if you don't they can take the kids. Now just having roaches is not a reason to take children out of the home because a lot of people have issues with then. But if the house is dirty and gross and disgusting and is not a child like environment then you may want to clean up, for the sake of the children.
