There are two ways of dealing with spiders and spider mites on Gardenias. Firstly the organic method, spray with an horticultural oil such as Neem Oil or even pyrethrum. Spray the underside of the leaves for about 10 days, that should do the trick. If that fails why not try the really cheap method, spray washing up water with detergent.
