I wouldn't recommend using dermabond without a medical opinion. It is not appropriate for all wounds.

What happened? Was the dog injured in a fight, that she needs stitches? If this is the case, I'd suggest seeing the vet. I doubt that Dermabond would be any cheaper than stitches, considering that your pet may need antibiotics to stave off infection as well.
Don't do anything without calling the vet. He can tell you what needs to be done and may also be willing to work out a payment schedule with you. If not, you might want to call your local animal shelter to find out if they offer reduced price veterinary services.
