Pregnant dogs tend to to act just as they always have, however, they tend to be a lot more "clingy" and sleep quite a bit.  They don't tend to really start whining and acting dramatically different until about a month prior to birth.  The best way to really tell is by looking at their nipples, if she is preggers, her nipples will have grown drastically, and should be very apparent.  She wont appear hungry at feeding time, so what I do is leave a bowl of dry food out because they will take little bits through out the day, since her tummy is going through so many changes.
